before we set up for our 2 hour train back to taipei from hua lien - this is a very nice picture of my yummy breakfast
thereafter, once we got to 台北 and after we checked into our TS Hotel which was a 1 minute walk away from 西门 station - we headed off to 淡水 to check out the markets and sights...more information on our accommodation can be found per below link.

along the way, daddy spent time (again) getting this blue dolphin from one of those 'try your luck' machines... a brillant present for me since the memories of ocean park were still fresh on my mind :)
and here I am saying "cheers" with my daddy (you can't see him but I can assure you that IS his hand) during dinner time - which we had at one nice jap restaurant near the train station at about 830pm...
this is one of the food items taiwan is famous for - the 葱油饼
