Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our LORD! REJOICE! REJOICE! REJOICE!

Church of the Good Shepherd is the place which we visit on every Sunday for worship. Yes, the moment has finally come for me to be Baptised today.

If you are interested, please read below on Baptism and why is it important in Christianity.

What is being born again here? Being born again is not just quitting one's sinful life and beginning a new life after believing in Jesus, as most people think. Though this would be good, this in itself is not being born again, nor being saved. When the Bible tells us that we must be born again of water and the Spirit, it means that "sinners must repent, believe in the baptism of Jesus and the blood of the Cross, and thereby receive the remission of sin into their hearts and become righteous." In other words, it means being born from above. This is not a change that comes from human beings, but it is a transformation that comes from God.

In 1 John 5:6-7, the Bible says, "This is He who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." Jesus came to this earth by water and blood. Jesus was born of the body of the Virgin Mary incarnated into the flesh of a man, and when He turned 30, He was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. The works of salvation that make us be born again of water and the Spirit began with the birth of Jesus, and as He washed away the sins of the world by receiving His baptism from John the Baptist, the representative of humanity, in the Jordan River.

嬰孩受洗的理由

以下引證嬰孩受洗的幾種理由，是正確的和必需的：

1. 基督指示我們知道，孩童在萬民中佔很大的數量，祂的門徒為他們施洗，也教導他們。每一個國家都有孩童。雖然在基督的大使命中沒有提到孩童這回事，但對於孩童絕不可排斥之。

2. 洗禮是一個恩典的約，上帝要賜給受罪者得著基督救贖的一切益處。孩童也是罪人，他們需要上帝的恩典，因為他們的出生帶有原罪，所以他們的性情傾向邪惡。從孩童死亡的事實證明他們已經承受了原罪（羅五12）。即使他們在孩童時不會犯知覺的罪，但罪的種子已在他們裡面成長，直到他們長到一定的年紀，就會犯罪作惡行不義。

3. 基督曾吩咐人把小孩子帶到祂面前來（路十八16），所以當我們把他們帶到祂面前受聖潔的洗禮時，乃是遵行祂的命令。以後當他們長大後，教導他們遵守基督吩咐他們的一切事。

4. 基督宣告小孩子「在上帝的國中正是這樣的人」，又說：「凡要承受上帝國的，若不像小孩子，斷不能進去。」（路十八16-17，太十八3）從這些話看到，成年人首先要變成小孩子的樣式，才能受洗及全然地進入上帝的國，所以肯定地說絕不可反對孩童受洗，因為他們藉著這個聖禮，他們可以成為祂的兒女和上帝國的子民。

5. 使徒們論到聖靈和恩典的應許要賜給孩童，像賜給成年人一樣（徒二38-39），所以孩童不能從這個聖禮中被排斥出去，因為在這個聖禮中，他們要得著聖靈和恩典。

6. 割禮是在第八日施行，但它是舊約時代洗禮的預表，藉著這個儀式，嬰孩就被接進上帝子民之中，因此我們以同一理由說，在舊約的規條下，按著上帝的旨意接受嬰孩進入與祂有關的恩約中，在新約中藉著洗禮而進入祂的恩約之中。

7. 從新約聖經的記載顯示出使徒為那些悔改歸正的家庭成員施洗（徒十六15、33；林前一16）。我們可以大膽的假定，在這些家庭中不會沒有孩童的。

Guess what??!!! I have got lots of presents on this Christmas!! Yippee!!

Tomorrow's the day!!

Tomorrow's the weekend and yippee Daddy will be keeping me and Mummy company. Not sure what we will be doing for tomorrow but as long as we are spending the weekend together, I will be the happiest person in the entire world.

Daddy and Mummy thought of heading downtown, and I will try my outmost to get them to buy me toys for the 1st Christmas that I will be spending with them. Although I have lots of toys at home, no baby will complain that they have too many. hehe

Another Rainy Weekend!!

We were at Trinity Theological College for a wedding. Shortly after the wedding, we headed down to "Delfi" to get Mummy's dress. As Daddy was feeling hungry and there wasn't any nice food in Delfi, we popped by at Orchard Hotel to fill the hunger and at the same time avoid the heavy rain.

There were really nice decorations in the hotel. Yes, Daddy and Mummy had a nice and delicious lunch. From the frustrated look I had in the picture, you can guess that I didn't get to eat anything at all.

A tale of three hands

Daddy took this picture for us - his palm (obviously the largest one there) is below, with Mummy's hand in the middle and my prominent left hand right at the top!

How observant are you? Well, for those with a keen eye - you'll notice that my left hand has a distinctive mole on my third finger...

My new chair

OOOOOoooohhh, look at me in my new chair. It's a gift from Grandpa and Grandma. Mummy told me that it took them the whole day to search for a good chair.

Apparently they want me to learn to walk with it but I think it's a bit too light for me. As I am a very strong boy I can easily lift it up.

A Gift for Mummy on my 9th month!!

Today I turned 9 month old, but we had to head down to Sony Ericsson Workshop at Orchard. Mummy's phone was soaked with my saliva due to me actively playing with it. Other babies tries to send message with their mummy's phone but I am different. I explored the different types of possibilities with the phone.

The Sony Ericsson personnel told mummy that even though her phone can be repaired, there might be a possibility that it will not work anymore after the repair.

Oh well, I will have to pray hard that it works well after the repair and forever and ever AMEN!!

A Rainy Sunday!

Hey there... we went to Centrepoint with Uncle Jon after Church on Sunday... it was originally intended to be a quick 1 hour lunch and short walk-around session... which gradually extended, thanks to the heavy rain, to a rather long 2 hour plus session.

Thank goodness for Haagen Daaz.

Heh heh. Cos the windows and the people walking by managed to sufficiently distract me for approximately 20 minutes... as shown above, I was rather curious as to why there were so many people walking here and there. :)

Well, Uncle Jon bought me a drum-toy-thing that counts 123 and says ABC when I beat it with my hands. Aint' that cool? :P

Hello there... this is me. pretty concussed after a fun day playing with Daddy and Mummy ... am really tired now... so I'll update somemore... later, once I'm done with my good sleep

Safety Zoning

Behind me stands the new gate which helps to prevent me from going to those dangerous regions i.e. the kitchen... Mummy saw me crawling from the living room to the kitchen.

Darn. I should have kept my hands (and feet) to myself... now I've got less space for crawling.

Mummy got me a new toy from "Mustafa" which is made up of plastic alphabets as shown above. Mummy is afraid that the 26 alphabets will go missing within the next few days... so she chained it 3 alphabets by 3 alphabets.

Yes yes, blame it on me. Thats so convenient. :P

Mummy's little laundrymaid

Eh. Here am I, helping Mummy with the laundry... or to be more precise, I'm helping Mummy pick up the clothes hangers that she dropped.

I haven't figured out whats more fun. The hangers in my mouth, or the sound of CLASHING hangers.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

Wow. November seems to be a good FOODY season... first it was Daddy's birthday on the 11th where we ate chicken rice @ Vivo; then it was Mummy and Daddy's wedding anniversary where we ate at Chang @ Dempsey...

....... now I get to celebrate Mummy's belated Birthday where we had the following:

1) bubble & squeek

2) fish and chips

3) scones with jam and clotted cream...

all the above was enjoyed at Fosters @ Holland V.... where we took the above pictures too... afterwhich we went to Haagen Daaz for chocolate ice cream...

as the pictures showed, I was more pre occupied with looking outside the windows... looking at passerbys and many many cars... Mummy was not as distracted as she focused intently on her ice cream. :)

oh yes, did I mention that the waitresses at Haagen Daaz kept me entertained too? they found me adorable. but of course. :)

Happy 3rd Anniversary Mummy and Daddy! Part I

My mummy and daddy are so nice. They brought me out to this nice Korean restaurant - Chang @ Dempsey Road... apparently, this road is the most happening location amongst young people...

Lets see whats on the menu:

In the end, Mummy settled for Mixed Vegetables with rice in a claypot... whilst Daddy had beancurd soup with rice.

They also had yummy prime beef and boneless chicken thighs- on recommendation by the pretty Korean waitresses there...

After lunch, as Daddy was eating - I got a bit bored so I started exploring the nice patterns on the mats they used... did I mention we sat at one of those 'low' tables? :)

Alas, that exploration didn't help to stop my boredom... much... so I turned around to wave hello at all the cars passing by. Wow, Dempsey Road must be quite an interesting place. Plenty of traffic even during a weekday lunchtime. :)

Daddy and Mummy eventually caught my hint... and we took one last picture outside Chang.

Next stop - Funan Centre - to meet Grandpa and Grandma who were in the area...

We also managed to squeeze in some shopping time at Raffles City before we zoomed to fetch Uncle Jon who got off work especially to meet me! Yeah! I'm special, aren't I? Even though it's not my wedding anniversary... but nevertheless, I'm special. :)

Thanks Daddy, Mummy, Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Jon for making today so memorable!

Dinner with Uncle Martin

Here we are at Aston's Prime having dinner with Uncles Martin, Edwin, Aunty Jaslyn and En-En kor kor... in case you're wondering who Uncle Martin is, well, read my Wednesday's blog below. :)

Mummy says the wild mushroom and minestrone soup (which you can see in the bigger picture above) were delicious... Mummy had cod while Daddy had lamb.... btw, the chips were nice too...

Mummy's day out - the wong's edition

Hello everyone!

Today's my first bus trip with mummy on bus 105 to Orchard. It took us less than 20 minutes before we knew that we were at our destination. FIRST STOP! Mummy brought me straight to Scotts Isetan, or more precisely, straight to the HELLO KITTY department. After much consideration, she finally settled for a mini pouch while waiting for Aunty Ruth and Aunty Yingyi.

(Yeah yeah, conveniently blame it on the waiting time... I've heard that excuse before... *smiles*)

Well, after meeting aunties Ruth and YingYi, my other cousins Shanae and Chunchun decided they were hungry. In fact, so was I... needless to say, the next half an hour was spent in a very nice feeding room @ Borders....

Thereafter we finally managed to settle down for lunch @ Cedele / Wheelock Place, as we couldn't decide between Jap or Western... thanks to my Mummy's strong recommendation of Cedele's Chocolate Truffle Cake, aunty Ruth was, ahem, persuaded to try it out... aunty Ruth's first word on eating it was "UUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMM"

I won't need to explain how nice it was. I didn't get to eat it at all... my mummy is evil, she tempted me with the nice visuals of the Chocolate TRUFFLE CAKEs... :(

Uncle Martin visits!!!

Uncle Martin visited me today - all the way from Bristol in the UK... Daddy says he's the Warden from Manor Hall from the University of Bristol... well, all I know is that he resembles a very jovial Santa Claus...

We had fun playing today, he taught me how to tap on the coffee table... his jacket and watch seem like nice toys too... I tried to leave my saliva tracks on them. Not sure whether he'll remember these when he returns to Bristol next week from KL...

In fact, Uncle Martin and I had so much fun we arranged to meet again for dinner this coming Saturday. Daddy's Uni friend Uncle Edwin is also bringing along his family which includes his darling 15 month old son "En-En". Wow! Its going to be fun!

Will post more pictures once dinner on Saturday is settled. Yeah. :)

Learning to Climb #1

Yesterday, I climbed and I climbed and I climbed... yes, it was great fun, especially since Daddy put more and more pillows on top of each other. He expected me to fail at this challenge... but NOooo, he underestimated my climbing prowess!!!

TWO TEETH WONDER!!!

Spot my teeth!

I am happy to say that they're both of the same size now. It would be quite embarrassing if I had uneven (lengthed) teeth. Yes yes, I'm vain. :)


Teething: What every parent should know.

Teeth usually begin to appear at 4 to 7 months, but some babies teeth come earlier and some later. Signs of teething are that his gums may be slightly inflamed and he may dribble. The first teeth are used to bite with, but initially your baby will chew with his gums. Chewing is an important skill for baby to learn, necessary for jaw development, which in turn is important for speech development later on. He will manage lumpier foods well with his newly learned chewing skills. Don't be put off giving your baby lumps because he has no teeth.

1. The first teeth to arrive are usually the lower front teeth.
2. These are followed by the upper front teeth.
3. Upper side teeth come next.
4. These are followed by the lower side teeth.
5. The first upper molars erupt. Next come the first lower molars.
6. The upper canines then come in, one each side.

Happy Birthday, Daddy Wong!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Daddy went for his haircut today, and we spent the later part of this afternoon walking around Cold Storage Holland V (literally, "COLD" storage... it was indeed COLD... but packed to the brim with hungry people shopping for beer and groceries). Daddy settled on buying 2 cans of beer which he explained to me - that I can't drink, cos I'm wayyyyyyyyyyyy below the legal age for consumption of alcohol.

*hahaha*

Daddy and Mummy ate dinner at Thai Express... daddy got a discount cos its his Birthday today! And they spent the later part of this evening enjoying their Chocolate of a Thousand Leaves cake from Coffee Bean, and sipping Sapporo Beer. I distinctly heard the 'crack' of a beer can being opened at about 10pm... sly Daddy. :P

I don't quite understand Daddy's fascination with beer, oh well, I think I'll figure it out the later of my life... like, wayyyyyyyyy later.... haha.

Journey to the East!!!

Let me tell you about my "happening" Saturday... Daddy and Mummy brought me to McDonald's @ Hougang Street 21 (its just behind HeartLand Mall, according to Mummy...). Okay, before you guys say "Isn't Hougang a bit far to travel for McDs?" let me explain that its Riley Kor Kor's birthday party....... Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh (I hear you guys saying now...)

Oh yes, as I was saying... McDonalds' party. My 1st McDonalds' party!!! I'm quite excited seeing so many children of MY AGE. Hahaha, that doesn't happen very often when you're a 8 month old kid u'know... they even gave each of us really fanciful cup cakes (pictures shown below):

Mummy and Daddy bought Riley a nice present (let me give you a hint, if you can refer to Auntie Bliss's blog, its the one with the teddy bear prints and the paper roll on top *Mummy forgot to wrap the paper roll in, cos its not meant to be done on purpose... )... All this, despite Uncle Weng's 'preference' for donations to charity. Of course I support Daddy! What would birthdays be without Birthday Presents?? Heh heh, as if I'm very experienced... *laughs*

We then took a short NE MRT trip up to CompassMall (or whatever its name is, aiyah, the one above Sengkang MRT) where Daddy chose nice t-shirts from Fox Kids for me. Oh yeah, new clothes. I like. :)

........... and I overheard Daddy remarking to Mummy that the foodcourt has a HUGGGGGGEEE selection of stalls.............. Okay, I think I exaggerated a little. Daddy had beef brisket with rice while Mummy had a yummy bowl of Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo.

At the end of the day, I was so exhausted that I slept even before I reached home... it was a rather okay 1 hour journey back from Sengkang to Dover... we all knocked out right after we reached home...

*snooze*

Milkshake and Ice-cream!!! - Jere sees and cannot touch. :P

Today we went out to the Old Cathay, cos Mummy wanted to have a look at the educational CDs at the Gramaphone outlet there... we alighted at Billy Bombers, and it seems Mummy couldnt resist the lure of the chocolate milk shake.

Today was also my 1st attempt at using the baby chair. I think I did pretty well... looking at the picture below, wouldn't you agree?

Of course, Daddy also ate some cheese fries... Mummy also indulged in one of her favourite Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavours - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - at least it sounded like it...

No more bumps!!!

Hello everyone, this is my safety helmet. It is called "Baby No Bumps"! As I am getting more and more active everyday, Mummy needs to be on the look out for me all the time. With this, it can at least help to set her mind at ease.It is meant to cushion harsh bumps on the head when babies are learning to crawl and walk.

The next picture shows me with the helmet and knee guard. Now I am all set to crawl by myself . Do I look sporty??

My cosy play corner

Recently, Mummy chanced upon this playmat when we visited cousin Shanae at her 1st month celebration... Uncle and Grandma volunteered to buy this for me.

Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for their enthusiasm in getting me this mat. I got this 2 days later, isnt that fast? :P

First it was Winnie-The-Pooh style, but Daddy and Grandma felt it was rather repititious and not 'exciting' enough (and btw, I looked 'bored'...) so they went to exchange for a Thomas the Train style...

Coupled with a few cushions behind me, it does look rather safe, doesn't it? And can you spot this new toy - Busy Bench - which we bought from Kidzloft (see below blog) ... quite cool cos its made of nice wood, and it can be used on both sides!

I hope you enjoyed your lunch with little ol' me and the family today at Ding Tai Feng / 鼎泰豐@ Wisma Atria... from the looks I get from everyone, the food seems to be very nice.

I gave Mummy my usual inquisitive look... Alas, she replied that 小笼包is not something I can eat at my age.

Darn, there was so much there too... including 酸辣汤，炸云吞，蛋炒饭 and many others which smelled delicious...

Jeremiah goes shopping @ Kidzloft!

Saturday 3 Nov 2007 - Daddy and Mummy brought me shopping today! There was this lovely place called Kidzloft in some industrial area off Upp Thomson Road...

Daddy says its at "tagore" something... Let me tell you a secret, I think he MEANT to say TIGGER - which is one of my favourite Winnie-The-Pooh characters... Daddy is so funny... :P it was even funnier seeing Daddy try to explain the location to the Taxi uncles... their 1st reaction was loud "HUH?"... they had this strange look on their faces, as they thought we are trying to go to some ULU factory on a weekend!

Until Mummy explained further that there was a 50% storewide discount at that tagore-ish location...

*Hint hint* Dear uncles and aunties, STOREwide (virtually), 2-10 Nov... trust me... the good stuff are going Fast... daddy says we are going again on Sunday!!!

Anyway, let me show you the nice baby high-low chair cum table that Daddy and Mummy bought for me... its got a cool COW face (although its strange why the face is put behind me... surely they know I can't see behind me, right? oh well... )
