Isaiah Chapter 40: Verses 28 - 31
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

A peaceful evening at Great World City

It was a peaceful Sunday evening.

After taking lots of rest in the afternoon and dinner, mummy and daddy decided to join Grandpa and Grandma Wong in the evening. Grandpa and Grandma Wong was on their way to fetch Uncle Jonathan back from work. On our way there, Grandma Wong received a message from Uncle Jonathan to tell her that he is not done with work yet and can't come with us.

So, rather than head back home, we decided to head to Great World City instead. While Daddy was busy trying on shoes, I was running around the shop bumping into a lot of cabinets. Grandpa and Grandma Wong decided to get me out of the shop to somewhere safe... From far, I noticed this pay-coin helicopter... I was so happy ! (even if it was just a standstill pay-coin machine).

Don't I look like a professional pilot? :)

Being really mobile nowadays, there was a lot of running around i.e. I run around, while Grandpa and Grandma Wong are busy playing 'catch up'. After they were totally exausted by my bountiful energy, they decided to pop by Macdonalds to get a drink. Cheeky lil ol' me got a BIG cup of "Ice Milo" all to myself... hehe... just kidding.

I think I only got to drink 1/10 of the BIG cup of "Ice Milo". Emphasis on the word 'BIG'. :) As a grown up boy, I love to hold everything on my own. In order for me to finish the last 1/10 myself, Grandma Wong had to finish 9/10 of the "Ice Milo" (in 1 breath) before passing me the cup. Poor Grandma Wong - she was panting after finishing the BIG cup within 2mins. Thanks Grandma! And sorry for making you finish 9/10 of the Ice Milo within the shortest period of time possible!!

At the supermarket

Hi everyone, here I am at the supermarket.
What am I doing here?? Well, duh - I am doing groceries shopping of course. Can't you see what I am holding in my hands? It's organic baby biscuit, which is said to be a healthy snack.
Needless to say, from the previous blog that you have read, I am normally very attracted to the neatly arranged products on the racks. Old habits die hard. :) I am planning to rearrange the products according to my own "Wong Tian Lik Jeremiah" standard before heading down to Grandma Lim's place.
This time, mummy has decided to not to show the outcome of my "neatly arranged" products.... which to her was very, very untidy.
Mummy and her standards. :) haha

Can you guess where this place is?
Lets do a Multi Choice Question -
A. Shop N Save

B. Cold Storage

C. NTUC Fairprice

D. Sheng Siong Supermarket

The answer is.....................
B (Cold Storage @ Woodlands Causeway Point)

Okay, have done my part for the supermarket industry............... Grandpa and Grandma Lim here I come !!!

Beautiful nursing room

Here I am at the nursing room at Tanglin Mall during a recent shopping trip... I have to admit that this room is rather nicely renovated, cos previously it was a literally a 'hole in the wall' type... one small room... lousy sofa... well, you get the idea, right?

The wall paper was so lifelike that I reached out and tried to grab it... obviously, I haven't figured out this concept of putting paper onto walls... strange adults and their strange decoration habits.

These adults ah, I bet they take some perverse pleasure in fooling little children like me :)

My mischievous act

Recently, I have developed a liking for re-arranging things.

Here are a few of the potentially dangerous examples from the experiences of Mummy and Daddy...

... One weekend, I was playing with Daddy's phone. As usual, I would walk around the whole house pretending that I was on the phone with somebody. Mummy sensed that I had something up my sleeves thus she followed me around.

.... I ended up playing at the front of this new cabinet, where I mischievously opened one of the drawer. My next instinct was to put whatever that was on my hands then close the drawer. This was a very dangerous thing to do as Daddy's phone would normally be in silent mode. Guess what will happen if mummy didnt follow me around? No one would able to find the phone! Who would have thought that the innocent o me would have done that? It would be disastrous as I couldn't tell them where I would have left the phone.. OOPS... :p

Next story..... there was once I took one side of my slippers into the kitchen. No one noticed it, not even my mummy... heheheh... this slipper went missing for the next 3 weeks as I heard Mummy complaining to Daddy. Mummy was sure that she had brought the slipper back from Grandma Lim's house and that she had checked the taxi before closing the door.

It was only 3 weeks later while mummy was sorting out the groceries in the cabinet then she realised that one side of the slipper was actually buried under the tibits.... hidden among the treasures :p

**did you notice what was on my left and right hand in the picture as shown above?? I was holding the ceiling fan controller on my right- hand and the marker on my left-hand. Hmm it seems like I rank household items like electrical appliances and stationeries over my preference for toys. :p

At the church!

I woke up a little earlier than usual during church service this morning.... at 920am instead of my usual 945am... thus Mummy had no choice but to bring me to the 'cry' room

For those who have been following my blog... I'm wearing my "NADAL" outfit... it allows me to show off my almost not-so-noticeable biceps. :) haha

As the pictures show, I was quite intrigued by the colourful playmats...

Here you see me holding onto a packet of my favourite Baby Bites Biscuits (chicken and vegetable flavour -a MUST HAVE)... its quite yummy, you know

Busy busy bee

Today Daddy and Mummy brought me out bright and early to Isetan Scotts for McDonald's breakfast!

That's why I look so pleased. Yummy! Breakfast here I come!

That's my hand in the picture below - I couldn't wait to lay my hands (literally) on the pancakes.

:)

Here am I eagerly waiting for my pancake!

As you can see, I'm getting impatient... when oh when will my pancakes come?..

:(

After my breakfast, Daddy and Mummy brought me to Isetan.

I had a fun time trying to rearrange the baby lotions up and down... and up .... and down.... and up again..... and down again....

This kept Daddy quite busy....

Thereafter I was quite tired out... the McDonald's was quite crowded thus I didn't have a proper nap...

No guesses what I am doing now :) hahaha.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Me and Mummy's new bag

Yesterday, Mummy had finally got her new bag which she had ordered through SMH. It didn't take long for me to notice this new toy. Soon even before Mummy's knowledge, it was already on my right shoulder. Now let's make a guess!! Is this going to be my bag or mummy's bag??

Since young, it doesnt really take much to make me happy. Just some empty toy boxes or candy containers will definitely make my day.

Mummy can we go shopping now?? PLEASE??!!!

Nature fun!

Daddy brought me out to the playground again this morning... this time it was cooler (in the literal sense, not in the 'hip' sense)... when I heard a loud and very audible "creaking' amongst the trees...

Guess what I saw?

This was what I saw... Daddy says its a cicada... 蝉 in Chinese (http://www.nciku.com/search/en/cicada)

Some sample sounds can be found per link below
http://abbot.si.edu/highlight/cicadas/audio.htm

Daddy also found the following information on cicadas and their 'songs' from wikipedia @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicada

---

Male cicadas have loud noisemakers called "timbals" on the sides of the abdominal base. Their "singing" is not the stridulation (where two structures are rubbed against one another) of many other familiar sound-producing insects like crickets: the timbals are regions of the exoskeleton that are modified to form a complex membrane with thin, membranous portions and thickened "ribs".

Contracting the internal timbal muscles produces a clicking sound as the timbals buckle inwards. As these muscles relax, the timbals return to their original position producing another click. The interior of the male abdomen is substantially hollow to amplify the resonance of the sound.

A cicada rapidly vibrates these membranes, and enlarged chambers derived from the tracheae make its body serve as a resonance chamber, greatly amplifying the sound. They modulate their noise by wiggling their abdomens toward and away from the tree that they are on. Additionally, each species has its own distinctive song.[1]

-----------------------------------------------------------

We also discovered a caterpillar crawling along one of the side walls.

Okay, enough on the flora and fauna...

Will update more soon, yah?

:) have a good weekend, everyone!

Weekend loh!

Can someone spot the difference between this picture and the ones below???

For those who say that my fringe is shorter - you're SPOT ON!!!

Yes, as Singapore's rather humid these days I've been perspiring more... thus Mummy decided to give me my 2nd haircut yesterday!

This picture was taken this morning - my "Just out of Bed" Look

"Labour" day

Today Daddy and Mummy brought me to another playground near our block of flats... its a mini-sized playground for mini-sized people like ME :)
The steps are shorter and the slides are less steep... Mummy likes this playground much more than the one in front of our block... that's a little too 'grown up' for me

These pics were taken as I went through and fro the plastic tunnel... I had lots of fun with Daddy behind me and Mummy in front... so I was very safe.

I then embarked on my step exercise... I did it all by myself without any help from Daddy... that helps to train my strong leg muscles and helps to improve my balancing skills too!

Of course, after all that climbing a boy like me gets really, really thirsty... so I drank for at least 1 minute before letting go of my straw... that surprised Mummy... usually I drink for about 30 seconds.

Of course, what goes up must come down... says some Physics person :) this time I had the aid of Daddy who wasn't sure I should climb down on my own.

All that running around and climbing up and down tired me out... it's time for my afternoon nap... as you can see, I'm really, really tired....
Hope you all have a great Holiday too!

Holiday holiday its a holly holly holiday!

Up bright and early! Daddy tells me that today's a public holiday!

Key Salient Points:
1) Daddy doesn't have to work
1A) Daddy doesn't have to work the ENTIRE day (Daddy wants me to stress that.... he says its a very important point...)
2) We can go out and do fun things... in cool areas (I mean this in the literal sense, I prefer to do fun thing in (ideally) air-conditioned places...)
3) ................ Provided I am rested and am co-operative

(3) has over-riding Veto ability for all other items... thus Daddy wants me to take my morning nap as per our normal arrangement... which is a very demanding task.......

.......... today's a Public Holiday............. not exactly sure how relevant is it to me as a 13 1/2 month toddler (who doesn't work), but YEAH anyway :)
