Isaiah Chapter 40: Verses 28 - 31
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Happy Birthday, GrandPa!

Hello GrandPa, Happy 60th Birthday!

Hope you enjoyed your lunch today with me, me, me, me and me... and oh yah, Daddy, Mummy, Uncle Jon and Grandma... :)

The food was yummy... and fun. Fun? For me. Cos I was trying to figure out what Grandpa and Grandma were eating. There were also plenty of cars zooming bye downstairs. Pretty distracting for a 7 month kid like me..

Well, to 'reward' me for my good behaviour - Mummy brought me shopping at Robinson. My eyes zoomed in on this "Phonics Bus".

Sounds fun, right? Honestly, I don't wish to lie. But I'm more attracted to the colours. Hahaha.

Thereafter I fell asleep while Daddy was buying coffee and cake for Mummy at Gloria Jean's. Before I dozed off, I saw this huge line of 30 plus people queueing up... all of them with rather impatient and grumpy looks on their faces.
Mummy explained to me that they were waiting to buy Donuts.

Eh, I don't quite get it. If they're so unhappy queueing, why on earth are they buying these donuts in the first place? I gave my "quizzical" look to Daddy, and he remarked that it's something about "Singaporean-ism". According to Daddy, its almost as if one can show off after sweating buckets (in an air-conditioned Raffles City, mind you) buying Donuts.

Sounds rather silly. Maybe I'm a little young to understand the internal working of adults. But if adult Singaporeans like to queue for 40 minutes or more for donuts, somehow my gut instinct tells me I'm not going to like Donuts...

or any of the following (cos Daddy tells me there are long queues too)

a) Char Kuay Teow (the famous one in someone's "garden".... I didn't quite follow Daddy when he was explaining just now)

b) Certain Chicken Rice stalls

c) Bak Chor Mee (sometimes, where he works)

d) Beef Noodles (similar reason as above)

e) Bak Kua (during the months of Jan or Feb - but I have come to the conclusion that there MUST be SPECIAL discounts during these months. If not, why would people queue up for Hours for pieces of pork?

If I am wrong, then there must be some special ingredient in the pork. :)
* PS Mummy reminds Daddy to ALWAYS remember to bring wet tissue in my baby bag... don't ask me why... I dunno... I'm only 7 months old. :)

hey! Elliot has the same bus for last Christmas :) But he's thrown out the 3 frogs-- prefers pressing the tiny buttons on his own to get the songs instead...
